This Privacy Policy explains how EtherGaming collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the video game Pocket Rogues. In this document, Pocket Rogues also includes Pocket Rogues: Ultimate, unless the context clearly says otherwise.

Pocket Rogues is distributed through official platforms, including Google Play, the App Store, and Steam. This Privacy Policy applies to the official versions of the game and related online services provided or used by EtherGaming.

1. Summary

Pocket Rogues can be played offline without creating an in-game account. In that case, most gameplay progress is stored locally on your device or through the save systems provided by the platform.

Some features require or may use online services. These include cloud saves, account-related services, multiplayer, leaderboards, achievements, purchase validation, and support. When you use these features, certain gameplay, account, device, platform, transaction, and technical data may be processed so that the features can work.

2. Data stored locally on your device

Pocket Rogues stores gameplay progress locally on your device. This may include save files, character progress, items, currency, settings, achievements, and other gameplay-related information.

If you delete the game, clear the app data, delete the local save file, or use platform tools that remove local application data, this local progress may also be deleted. Local data is not automatically available to EtherGaming unless you use online features, cloud saves, platform synchronization, or send the data to EtherGaming for support.

On some versions of the game, especially Android and PC versions where local save import/export is available, the game may request access to storage or files so that you can create, read, import, or export a local save file. These permissions are used for local save functionality and are not required for the basic offline gameplay experience unless you choose to use that feature.

3. In-game accounts and cloud saves

Pocket Rogues does not require registration for offline play. However, you may choose to create or use an in-game account for online features such as cloud saves, cross-device progress transfer, multiplayer, and related account services.

Cloud saves are intended to help you back up your game progress and transfer progress between supported devices or platforms, for example between Android and PC, where supported. Cloud saves contain game-related data for Pocket Rogues, such as progress, characters, items, currency, settings, achievements, and other gameplay state.

When you use an in-game account or cloud saves, EtherGaming and its service providers may process data such as:

  • an internal player account ID;
  • platform account identifiers, such as Google Play Games, Game Center, Steam, or similar platform identifiers where applicable;
  • device or installation identifiers used to recognize your account or save slot;
  • optional account information that you provide, such as an email address, nickname, or other account credentials if the game version supports them;
  • cloud save data and gameplay progress;
  • timestamps, app version, platform, and other technical information needed to save, load, synchronize, protect, or restore your progress.

The game client is not intended to store your account password in plain text. Authentication and account services are handled by the relevant service provider or platform.

4. Online features

Pocket Rogues may include online features such as cloud saves, multiplayer, leaderboards, achievements, purchase validation, and support-related services.

Multiplayer is an optional online feature. It is not required to complete the game or access the main single-player content. Access to multiplayer may require an in-game account, a network connection, compatible game versions, and compliance with the EULA and rules of conduct. EtherGaming does not guarantee that multiplayer servers, matchmaking, platform services, or other online features will always be available or error-free.

Leaderboards and achievements may use platform services such as Google Play Games, Game Center, Steam, or similar services. These services may display your platform nickname, profile name, score, achievements, and other gameplay results according to the settings and terms of the relevant platform.

5. Purchases and virtual currency

On mobile platforms, Pocket Rogues may offer in-app purchases, including virtual currency known as Crystals. Purchases are processed by the relevant platform, such as Google Play or the App Store.

EtherGaming does not receive or store your full payment card number or full payment credentials. The platform may provide EtherGaming with transaction information needed to validate, deliver, restore, or support a purchase, such as product ID, purchase status, platform transaction ID, order information, region, date, and related purchase metadata.

Crystals and other purchased consumable digital items may be stored as part of your game progress. If you use cloud saves, this purchase-related game state may be included in your cloud save or account data.

Refunds are generally handled under the rules of the platform where the purchase was made. If you have a problem with a purchase, you may also contact EtherGaming at ethergaminginc@gmail.com for support.

6. Support communications

If you contact EtherGaming for support, EtherGaming may process the information you provide, such as your email address, message content, screenshots, save files, order details, account ID, platform, device model, operating system, game version, and other information needed to understand and resolve the issue.

You should not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your support request.

7. Service providers and third-party platforms

EtherGaming may use third-party services and official platform services to operate the game and its online features. These may include:

  • PlayFab, a Microsoft service, for account-related services, cloud saves, multiplayer or other online game services where applicable;
  • Google Play, Google Play Games, and Google Play Billing on Android;
  • Apple services such as Game Center, iCloud, and App Store in-app purchases on iOS where applicable;
  • Steam and Steamworks services on PC;
  • hosting, security, diagnostics, crash reporting, or support services where needed to operate, protect, and support the game.

These providers may process data according to their own terms and privacy policies. EtherGaming uses such providers to deliver game functionality, protect accounts and saves, validate purchases, provide platform achievements and leaderboards, handle support, and maintain the game.

8. How EtherGaming uses data

EtherGaming uses data for the following purposes:

  • to run the game and provide its offline and online features;
  • to create, authenticate, and maintain in-game accounts;
  • to save, load, synchronize, back up, and restore game progress;
  • to provide multiplayer, leaderboards, achievements, and other online features;
  • to validate and deliver purchases;
  • to respond to support requests and investigate technical problems;
  • to detect, prevent, and respond to cheating, exploits, fraud, abuse, unauthorized modifications, and violations of the EULA;
  • to maintain security, fix bugs, improve reliability, and protect the integrity of the game and its online services;
  • to comply with legal, platform, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

9. Data sharing

EtherGaming does not publish your email address or private account information to other players.

EtherGaming may share or make data available in the following limited cases:

  • with service providers and official platform services that help operate the game;
  • with platform stores or payment processors for purchase validation, refunds, fraud prevention, and compliance;
  • with other players, only where the feature requires it, such as leaderboard entries, profile names, multiplayer presence, or gameplay results;
  • when required by law, legal process, platform policy, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of EtherGaming, players, platforms, or third parties;
  • in connection with a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of the game, if applicable.

10. Data retention

Local save data remains on your device until it is deleted by you, the operating system, the platform, or the game.

Cloud save and account data are generally kept while your account exists or while needed to provide the relevant online feature. EtherGaming may also retain limited records where necessary for support, purchase validation, security, anti-abuse measures, legal obligations, accounting, dispute resolution, or platform compliance.

If your account or cloud save data is deleted, some local data on your device may remain until you delete it from the device. Platform records, transaction history, achievements, leaderboards, and store-related records may also remain under the control and retention rules of the relevant platform.

11. Account and data deletion requests

You may request deletion of your in-game account data and cloud save data by contacting EtherGaming at ethergaminginc@gmail.com.

To help identify the correct data, include as much of the following as possible:

  • the game name: Pocket Rogues;
  • your platform: Android, iOS, or Steam;
  • your in-game nickname or account identifier, if available;
  • your platform user ID or profile name, if relevant;
  • the email address associated with the account, if you added one;
  • a short statement that you want your account data and cloud save data deleted.

EtherGaming may need to verify that the request relates to your account. Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable time, subject to technical limitations and any data that must be retained for legal, security, anti-abuse, accounting, refund, or platform compliance reasons.

Deleting account or cloud save data may permanently remove online progress, cloud saves, multiplayer access tied to that account, and other account-related data. It does not automatically refund purchases or delete records controlled by Google, Apple, Steam, or other platforms.

12. Your choices

You can play Pocket Rogues offline without creating an in-game account, although some online features will not be available.

You can choose whether to use cloud saves or supported platform synchronization features, where available. You can delete local data by using the tools provided by your device, operating system, platform, or the game.

You can manage platform permissions, achievements, Game Center, Google Play Games, Steam, iCloud, and similar platform services through the settings and privacy controls provided by those platforms.

13. Security

EtherGaming uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect game-related account data and cloud saves. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. EtherGaming cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet or stored by third-party services.

You are responsible for keeping your platform account, device, email account, and any account credentials secure.

14. International processing

Pocket Rogues is distributed internationally. Data may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence, depending on the platform, service provider, hosting location, and online feature used.

By using online features, you understand that data may be processed through international services and platforms, subject to their terms and privacy policies.

15. Children

Pocket Rogues is not intended to collect personal information from children except where permitted by applicable law and platform rules. If you are under the age required by law in your country, you should use the game and its online features only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

If a parent or legal guardian believes that a child has provided personal information to EtherGaming and wants it reviewed or deleted, they may contact EtherGaming at ethergaminginc@gmail.com.

16. Third-party links and platform policies

The game, store pages, or support materials may link to third-party websites, stores, platforms, or services. EtherGaming is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. You should review the privacy policies and terms of the relevant platform or service.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

EtherGaming may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be published on the official Pocket Rogues website. If the changes are significant, EtherGaming may provide additional notice where reasonably possible.

Your continued use of the game after the updated Privacy Policy is published means that you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
